Me website

Hi, I’m Gillian and I fell in love with yoga at 21, when I attended my first Ashtanga class in Dublin, Ireland. From here, I established a regular at home practice which mainly focused on the physical aspects of yoga. Throughout studying for my BA in Public Relations and Psychology, I leaned more heavily on my yoga practice to see me through exams, assignments and job seeking. Following an unexpected redundancy I completed a PGDip in Primary Education with the University of Strathclyde, and began my career as a teacher.

This change in direction, highlighted the spiritual aspects of a yoga practice and I began to learn more about meditation and pranayama. While completing my 200 hours yoga teacher training in 2016, I began to incorporate meditation and pranayama into my daily yoga practice. The vast benefits of this system have helped me to deal with the challenging job of educating young people and keeping up with the ever-changing world of education.

I am dedicated towards furthering my professional development as a yoga teacher and have undertaken a wide variety of CPD.
