Class Descriptions

Beginners Yoga

Each class will start with a guided breathing practice, to help settle us in before we begin the physical aspect of the class. We will flow through a series of standing and seated postures, breaking them down as we go, and offering plenty of options to suit every range of ability.
Finally, the class will end with the chance to snuggle under a warm blanket, put on a lavender scented eye mask and lay back in a well-earned guided relaxation.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is an ideal complement to an active lifestyle, but is also suitable for those new to yoga who would like a gentle stretch. Working on the connective tissues, fascia and joints, this style of yoga helps to release tension on a deeper level, leading to improved range of mobility.

Slower and calmer than a traditional flow yoga class, Yin aims to moderately stress and stretch the tissues of the body through longer, passive holds. This means that we may make use of props to help us remain in postures for up to 5 minutes.

Through slow, careful movements and transitions, you will have the opportunity to experience a more meditative style of yoga, helping to silence the ‘monkey mind’ through focussed deep breathing and gentle stretching.

This class is an ideal way to end a busy week or to prepare for the weekend. Why not come along and be a part of the Yin Crowd?

Slow Flow

Using the breath to flow between postures, we will move in a more mindful and slow manner to encourage relaxation, focus and balance. This class is a gentle yoga practise, with some poses being held for longer periods to improve flexibility and develop a feeling of peace and tranquillity.

This class is ideal if you are looking to improve your strength, focus and flexibility, while still enjoying the benefits of a traditional vinyasa styles yoga class.

Class will end with 10 minutes of guided yoga nidra relaxation.
