108 Sun Salutations for Charity

Over the last 3 years I have trained for and completed the 5k Race for Life at Glasgow Green. Thanks to all the kind people who have supported and sponsored me over the years, I have helped to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The above picture was taken at the start of the race, and I can honestly say that I felt amazing having pushed myself to prepare for running 5k and to raise money for charity along the way.

Unfortunately, this year I was unable to take part due to a health issue, which is thankfully now resolved.  But I still want to do something good for this amazing charity, and we have arranged a sponsored Sun Salutation Event.

Yoga Mala

Traditionally, yogis celebrate the changing of the seasons by completing 108 Sun Salutations, and this is the format of the fund-raiser. The Sun Salutations are completed in rounds of 27, with the option to sit out as and when you require it.  To participate, we are asking for a £10 donation, which will all go to the charity. This is a great opportunity to give something back to a good cause, and to get in a bit of exercise too. What’s not to love?

If you would like to take part, please send me a message or alternatively you can donate using the Just Giving page.
