Welcome to the Yoga by Gillian website, a page that has been created with love by me.

In case we haven’t met yet, I’m Gillian and this is my 8 year old Shih Tzu, Jackson. Yoga has been a huge part of my life for over 25 years. It offered me a path out of major depression, a route towards finding better ways to manage high stress levels and has supported me in managing ongoing migraine symptoms.

When I started my yoga teacher training in 2016 I knew that I wanted to share this practice with as many people as possible. To say that yoga saved my life is not a cliché, but I teach from the heart because I do believe I owe this ancient practice my life.

My Journey

I remember clearly the feeling of walking into that first yoga class and not knowing anyone or anything. But I don’t remember feeling lost. I also remember going back the next week.
